**Job Title: Maintenance Technician**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician with expertise in electrical systems, particularly PLCs and conduit running, or strong fabrication skills. The ideal candidate will be a well-rounded maintenance mechanic with both electrical and mechanical experience, capable of performing industrial maintenance tasks efficiently. This role requires a self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on plant machinery, electrical systems, and mechanical equipment.
+ Handle PLC troubleshooting and pneumatic and hydraulic system maintenance.
+ Repair and maintain forklift and plant electrical systems, including 480v-3ph power.
+ Conduct fabrication and welding tasks as needed.
+ Adhere to company safety rules and PPE programs, ensuring all work complies with safety regulations.
+ Use boom and scissor lifts for tasks at heights up to 40 feet.
+ Communicate effectively about potential issues and coordinate repairs.
+ Maintain an organized workspace and ensure cleanliness after completing tasks.
**Essential Skills**
+ 3+ years of experience in maintenance, particularly in electrical and industrial settings.
+ Knowledge of PLCs, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
+ Experience with industrial electrical systems, including 480v 3-phase power.
+ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Fabrication and welding experience is highly desirable.
+ Experience operating forklifts and lifts.
+ Capability to read blueprints and fabricate items using appropriate methods.

**Work Environment**
This position is based in a production facility specializing in foam products used in various industries such as automotive and marine. The job follows a first-shift schedule from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime and weekend work as needed. The work environment requires adherence to safety protocols and allows for independent task management.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newton, Kansas.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
