Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Responsible for maintaining and performing preventive maintenance on baking equipment and conveyor systems. Work with mixing, extruders, refrigeration, proofers, conveyors, boilers, silos, and various industrial machines. Tasks include replacing, rotating, inspecting, and changing parts, connecting power to machines, installing and rewiring motors, and reading blueprints and schematics. Additional responsibilities include moving machinery, performing welding on steel and aluminum materials, running conduit, and electrical wiring to new industrial machines, and fabricating parts using a drill press.

ResponsibilitiesPerform preventive maintenance and repairs on baking equipment and conveyor systems.Work with various industrial machines, including mixing, extruders, refrigeration, proofers, conveyors, boilers, and silos.Replace, rotate, inspect, and change parts of industrial machines.Connect power to machines, install motors, and rewire motors.Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.Move machinery and equipment using hoists and dollies.Perform welding on steel and aluminum materials.Run conduit and electrical wiring to new industrial machines.Fabricate parts using a drill press, cutting out holes, and making parts.Essential SkillsExperience troubleshooting and performing preventive maintenance on automated equipment.Experience with assembly equipment (conveyors) and building industrial equipment.Experience rebuilding 3-phase motors.Ability to troubleshoot and replace motors, gears, and pumps on industrial machinery.Experience troubleshooting PLCs, including drives.Mechanical troubleshooting skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience installing conduit and electrical wiring.Experience in food and beverage industry.Own hand tools (power tools will be provided).Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Work on a 1st shift or 2nd shift from 5:00am to 5:00pm or from 5:00pm to 5:00am, typically working (4) 12-hour shifts per week, including every other weekend. The environment is hot and fast-paced, with temperatures inside the plant being 10-20 degrees warmer than outside. Work includes handling big industrial ovens. The facility operates with 4 crews (2 on days, 2 on nights), each shift having 1 supervisor and 3 technicians. Employees receive time and a half for working over 12 hours in one day or 40 hours in one week.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55000.00 - $68000.00/yr.
