Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician II for our 3rd shift schedule (6pm - 6:15am, following a 2,2,3 schedule). The ideal candidate will maintain, analyze, troubleshoot, install, and repair production and facilities machines and equipment, ensuring efficiency, quality, and optimum production objectives.
ResponsibilitiesFollow and commit to meeting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for safety, quality, production, efficiency, and service requirements.Adhere to practices and processes that ensure the production of safe products in compliance with laws, regulations, and company quality standards.Install, diagnose, analyze, maintain, modify, repair, and/or rebuild a variety of plant and facility equipment.Repair equipment during mechanical breakdowns or assist other staff in repairs.Assist production personnel in change-over and set-ups.Dismantle defective machines and equipment to access problem areas or to install new or repaired parts.Communicate with operators to detect equipment problems and determine if mechanical or human error contributed to issues.Layout, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment. Repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.Assist machinists/fabricators in fabricating parts.Follow specifications from basic blueprints, manuals, and schematic drawings to install, maintain, and repair equipment, machinery, physical structures, and plumbing/electrical systems.Use tools ranging from common hand tools and power tools to precision measuring instruments, and electrical and electronic devices.Operate Powered Industrial Truck (PIT), hoist, crane, and aerial lift.Inspect, operate, or test faulty machinery, equipment, programmable controllers, and motors to diagnose malfunctions using test equipment or software.Perform preventive maintenance tasks to ensure machines run smoothly and efficiently.Maintain accurate documentation for assignments, machine repairs, parts inventory, and maintenance logs.Learn and use SAP Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Work Order Process, production schedules and reports, HMI control panels, and machine controls and settings.Prioritize work assignments to ensure efficiency and that production schedules are met.Train other Maintenance Mechanics and troubleshoot basic electrical equipment problems such as changing fuses, buttons, and switches.Utilize specific knowledge for a variety of skilled trades, including production and facility machinery and equipment, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, pipefitting, carpentry, utilities, etc.Essential SkillsThree (3) years of experience in performing preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repair, or comparable experience with trade school or training.Special knowledge in the use of hand-tools and power-tools.Proficient math skills, including simple addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.Ability to convert decimals to fractions and vice versa.Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot moderately complex problems.Understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, temperature, and pressure gauges.Ability to learn and understand manufacturing processes and inspect and repair or replace components.Proficient in reading and following basic blueprints, manuals, and mechanic and electrical schematics.Experience operating test equipment and/or software.Experience operating various hand and power tools.Working knowledge of automated controls.Ability to operate Powered Industrial Truck (PIT), hoists, and cranes, and maintain PIT certification.Effective communication skills in English to ensure proper training and ongoing communication about safety and quality issues.Additional Skills & QualificationsPaper converting, chemical/plastics processing, and/or packaging industrial experience is preferred.Vocational, Technical, or Associate Degree in Machine Tool, Machine Maintenance, Industrial Electrician, Electro-Mechanics, Mechatronics Technology, Automation Controls, Robotics, or a related field is preferred.Experience using Microsoft Office, including modifying basic reports, documents, and spreadsheets in MS Word and MS Excel, is preferred.Experience in electrical and mechanical trades such as HVAC, PLC, and CNC is preferred.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The position involves constant exposure to extreme heat, loud noise, dirt, dust, odors, and fumes. The role requires the ability to sit, stand/walk, bend at the waist, squat at the knees, crawl/kneel, climb stairs, reach from the torso, reach over the shoulders, grasp, push/pull, carry, lift/lower, work in heat and temperature changes, and work in an environment exposed to chemicals and dust. The candidate must be able to frequently lift 10 to 25 pounds and occasionally lift 25 to 50 pounds. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required in designated areas. Additional hours, including weekends, holidays, and/or overtime, may be required. The role involves working across 21 different buildings on the main campus, with another location nearby.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $72800.00/yr.
Company provides medical, dental, vision and 401k. As low as $72.22 per month for individual, and $274 a month for a family. 401k match dollar for dollar up to 3%, and 50 cents on the dollar on the additional 2% contributed. Total of 4% match if employee contributes 5%
