As a Maintenance Technician based in Hendersonville, North Carolina, you will play a crucial role in maintaining, servicing, and repairing plant and production equipment. You will report to the Maintenance Supervisor and contribute significantly to ensuring the smooth operation of our facility. **Responsibilities** + Maintain and service mechanical equipment, machinery, and components. + Use hand and power tools as required. + Perform repairs and maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment along with building systems. + Conduct periodic equipment inspections as part of preventive maintenance (PM) and evaluate requests for repair. + Identify parts needed for replacement and place orders as necessary. + Monitor the installation, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment to ensure optimum usage and quality. + Ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements. + Schedule and coordinate installation support and service operations. + Complete all work in accordance with established safety procedures. + Maintain equipment manuals, complete work orders and inspection reports, and document work hours and other administrative tasks as required. + Be accountable for food safety, food quality, and regulatory requirements for the position. + Encouraged to notify management about actual or potential food safety issues. + Adopt and maintain all SQF requirements for the position. + Empowerment to work with supervision to resolve food safety and food quality issues within their scope of work. + Perform other related duties as required and assigned. **Essential Skills** + Troubleshooting, mechanical, pneumatics, preventive maintenance expertise. + Several years of industrial/manufacturing mechanic experience. + High school diploma or equivalent. + Knowledge in Mechanical, Pneumatics, and Electrical (120vac-480vac). + Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task. + Excellent time management skills. + Strong verbal and written communication skills. + Knowledge of GMP, food safety, QC testing, microbiology, HACCP, chemistry, viscosity, food science, biology, food quality, QC, batch record, food manufacturing, quality inspection, and quality assurance. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in the food/beverage industry, manufacturing, or medical/pharma is a plus. + Experience with pumps, gearboxes, and valve repairs. + Familiarity with mechanical, pneumatics, and up to 480v systems. + Experience in repairing and troubleshooting automated equipment. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy a workplace that values social connections and career development. Operate in a GMP environment where PPE, such as safety glasses, steel toes, hair and beard nets, are required. Jewelry, including piercings and hanging jewelry, is not allowed. Nail polish is acceptable, but fake press-ons are not due to safety concerns. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hendersonville, North Carolina. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $38.00/hr.
