Northrop Grumman Defense Systems looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician 2 to join the SDS Team. This position is located in Huntsville, AL.
Specific duties to include, but are not limited to the following:
Perform repairs and maintenance in plant or office facilities to include sheetrock, taping, mudding and paint.
Typically performs work in one or more of the maintenance trades: carpentry, plumbing, painting, machine and equipment repair, electrical.
Conduct routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities, machinery, and equipment.
Use hand and power tools.
Test, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair machines and equipment.
Uses blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications.
This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED with 2 years of experience working in the Facility Maintenance.
Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active U.S. Government DoD Secret secret clearance at time of application with an investigation completed within the last 6 years, current and within scope.
Knowledge of general maintenance processes, methods and problem-solving skills.
Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices.
Working with a Maintenance Management System/Program such as L2L, Maximo, Maintenance Connect etc.
Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a mission critical facility environment by participating in maintenance activities for several different trade disciplines.
Proficient with MS Office suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and or Databases.
Preventative Maintenance Planning.
Ability to perform effectively in a team environment.
Systems Furniture.
Facilities Work Authorization.
Data analysis and reporting.
Primary Level Salary Range: $47,600.00 - $79,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
