Maintenance Technician, Processing Facilities
GFL ENVIRONMENTAL, INC.
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for monitoring and maintaining the operation of all plant systems and equipment. Including but not limited to pumps, air-lines, valves, electrical motors, forklifts, extractors and wheel loaders. This position must respond to all system failures by taking appropriate corrective action by completing or assigning the repairs needed to ensure that systems are operational and are functioning safely and efficiently.
Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:
Three (3) or more years of demonstrable mechanical experienceExperience and strong knowledge of equipment such as pumps, front end loader and forkliftsWaste transfer plant experience would be an assetFirst Aid/CPR TRAINING would be an assetAZ/ DZ license in an assetKnowledge able about WHMISDemonstrates effective communication skillsAbility to work a flexible schedule which may include nights and weekends to support operations and the needs of the facilityWorks under minimal supervision. May periodically assist in orienting and training#GFLTalent
