Maintenance Technician Trainee

We are seeking a Utility Maintenance Technician to join the Maintenance Department, focusing on utility systems operations and upkeep. The role is responsible for executing maintenance tasks in accordance with safety regulations, operational procedures, and the planned maintenance program.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure safe working conditions in utility areas and maintain a clean, hazard-free work environment.

Conduct first-line maintenance on utility and production equipment, reporting faults to maximize uptime.

Implement mechanical isolations and monitor chemical levels in fresh and boiler feed water systems.

Manage and distribute power based on consumption demands.

Monitor routine discharges (e.g., water, slops) to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.

Support utility and process operations, assisting with maintenance and operations activities as required, especially during night shifts.

Maintain accurate records in the CMMS and complete reports per operational procedures.

Participate in shift handovers and prepare documentation prior to crew changes.

Requirements:

STCW III/1 Certificate of Competency preferred.

Experience in utility or process operations, ideally in a petrochemical setting or onboard an LNG vessel desirable.
