POSITION SUMMARY: The Maintenance Tech I performs a wide variety of tasks related to general maintenance and basic repair functions. Under direct supervision, and in compliance with established departmental and regulatory procedures, this role performs routine maintenance, minor utility system repairs, and preventive maintenance (PM) of furniture, small appliances, and equipment. The role uses hand and power tools, measurement, and test instruments to complete work safely and efficiently. Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma/GED Valid driver’s license Other Skills/ Knowledge: Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions. Basic reading, writing, and mechanical aptitude. Analytical skills and manual dexterity are an advantage. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 6 months to one year of related work experience preferred.
