**Job Title: Maintenance Technician**
**Job Description**
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be assigned a specific section of our plant to manage alongside an engineer. Your role involves writing work instructions, implementing upgrades, completing major repairs and preventive maintenance, and conducting specialized maintenance tasks and training.
**Responsibilities**
+ Support the development of machine specifications for new equipment, machines, and tooling.
+ Investigate root causes of quality failures and implement permanent corrective actions in bellows forming.
+ Assist in training team leaders, maintenance, and tooling personnel as needed.
+ Monitor equipment cumulative cycles for predictive machine rebuild activity.
+ Lead and conduct major equipment rebuild activities.
+ Execute and verify the quality of preventive maintenance activities.
+ Assist in developing techniques for specified production processes such as tube welding, hydro-forming, assembly, and liner manufacturing.
**Essential Skills**
+ Minimum of 6 years of experience as a maintenance technician.
+ At least 3 years of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic experience, including knowledge of sensors, basic PLC, and circuits.
+ Strong troubleshooting ability to diagnose machine issues.
+ Knowledge of material processing, tooling, and part fabrication.
+ Ability to read electrical and blueprint schematics to determine machine failures.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Welding experience.
+ Automotive experience.
+ Strong PLC background.
+ Fabrication skills.
+ Robotics experience.
+ CNC experience.

**Work Environment**
The work environment is fast-paced yet clean, with some areas being louder due to machinery. Employees must adhere to safety protocols, including wearing steel-toe shoes and PPE. We provide safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection. Equipment used includes automated tube benders, welding machines, and material handling robots, along with PLC troubleshooting. The role involves manufacturing metal exhaust systems for automotive manufacturers, primarily focused on tube bending, assembly, and shipping. Shift options include 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts with a standard 4-hour day and potential overtime on Fridays.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Troy, Michigan.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $35.00/hr.
