Maintenance Team Leader – Flexible Pipe Systems
As part of the Flexible Pipe Systems Offshore team based in Newcastle UK, you will be joining an established business and team with expertise in pipe design, manufacturing, and installation. This unique combination allows our customers to increase production and asset integrity whilst reducing the overall costs associated with a pipeline system.

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Maintenance Leader to oversee day-to-day maintenance operations, ensuring equipment reliability, safety compliance, and team performance. This role is critical to minimizing downtime, optimizing asset life cycles, and driving continuous improvement across all maintenance activities.
As a Maintenance Leader, you will be responsible for:
Leading and coordinating a team of mechanical and electrical technicians in preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.
Developing and managing maintenance schedules, work orders, and resource allocation to meet operational targets
Troubleshooting complex mechanical and electrical issues, providing hands-on support when needed and dealing with situations where limited procedures exist.
Participating in capital projects, equipment upgrades, and root cause analysis investigations.
Writing routine reports and correspondence.
Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, spare parts inventory, and equipment history.
Driving continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing downtime and increasing efficiency.
Assessing jobs and creating relevant Risk Assessments where required.
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
Have a HNC / be a time served Engineer.
Have proven experience in a similar role dealing with Mechanical and Electrical maintenance of plant equipment.
Have a willingness to train and learn new skills working on unique machinery.
Be able to communicate effectively at all levels and drive accountability
Be able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
