The Role:
This role will require you to leverage your skills and experience to drive a culture of excellence, focus, and collaboration. As a Maintenance Supervisor you will oversee the repair and preventative maintenance of all stamping equipment. You will also be responsible for ensuring departmental productivity, quality, safety, and cost targets are achieved for all stamping equipment on your shift.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
College Diploma in technical field or equivalent.Experience:
Minimum 2 years of experience in a supervisory role within a unionized environment.Minimum 3 years of experience in troubleshooting issues in Stamping Presses.Ability to work all shifts (days, afternoons, midnights).Preferred Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related discipline. (Successful candidates will be required to provide proof of degree completion for the highest level of education attained. If the degree was obtained from a school outside of Canada, an Education Credential Assessment report showing Canadian equivalency is also required.)Skilled trades certificate of qualification in mechanical, tool & die or electrical is preferred.Experience
Experience in an automotive heavy stamping facility.Proficient with industrial controls such as PLCs (Allen-Bradley), Siemens drives and HMIs.Exposure in maintaining and troubleshooting Jier Presses.Understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.Ability to interact with all employees at all levels of the organization.Troubleshooting and repairing automated equipment.Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and constraint management principles.
