Summary:  

The Maintenance Supervisor directs, and coordinates activities of workers engaged in repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment, and in maintenance of buildings, grounds, and utility systems of industrial plants, or other establishment by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate employees.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Reviews job orders to determine work priorities.Schedules repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment to ensure continuous production operations.Coordinates activities of workers fabricating or modifying machines, tools, or equipment to manufacture new products or improve existing products.Directs maintenance activities on utility systems to provide continuous supply of heat, steam, electric power, gas, refrigeration, or air required for operations.Follows preventive maintenance program in conjunction with engineering and maintenance staff.Reviews production, quality control, and maintenance reports and statistics to plan and modify maintenance activities.Inspects operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational standards.Plans, develops, and implements new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimize operating costs, and effect greater utilization of labor and materials.Reviews new product plans and discusses equipment needs and modifications with design engineers.Requisitions tools, equipment, and supplies required for operation.Directs training and indoctrination of workers to improve work performance and acquaint workers with company policies and procedures.Confers with management, engineering, and quality control personnel to resolve maintenance problems and recommend measures to improve operations and conditions of machines and equipment.May assist in preparation of department budget and monitoring expenditure of funds in budget.

Additional Responsibilities: 

May maintain records and other relevant documents pertaining to equipment and supplies.Acquires knowledge of Trident’s Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainingsPerforms other similar or related duties as requested or assigned.

 

This is a nonexempt position with an hourly base pay rate.  Team members can expect to work a typical rotation of 3-months at our Alaska shoreplant and 1-month on furlough throughout the calendar year.  Work weeks provide a high volume of overtime pay.  The estimated gross weekly earning for this role would be about $3,710.
