Maintenance Supervisor

Basic Qualifications:

'        Minimum 5 years of experience as a Manufacturing Supervisor, Manufacturing Engineer or equivalent role.

'        Minimum 5 years of Supervisor/Leadership experience in a manufacturing setting.

'        Ability to read and decipher drawings, procedures, and GD&T.

'        'Strong working knowledge of preventive maintenance systems and/or programs.

'        Must be well organized, ability to work in a fast paced-environment and work well under pressure.

'        Attendance and punctuality at work are essential functions of this position.

'        Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Project, Word, Outlook).

'        Aerospace and/or Defense industry experience

'        Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Salary Range:

The base pay range for this position in Maryland is $78,600 - $118,000/year. Pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on payment may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.

Position Overview:

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading daily maintenance operations in a high-precision aerospace manufacturing environment, with primary responsibility for supporting CNC machining centers and related production equipment at our Fullerton, CA location.

This role ensures maximum equipment uptime, safe maintenance practices, and compliance with aerospace quality and California safety regulations. The Maintenance Supervisor provides hands-on technical leadership while developing a preventive maintenance culture that supports production schedules and continuous improvement.

 

Key Responsibilities:

'       Supervise maintenance support for CNC machines, including lathes, mills, multi-axis machining centers, and related automation.

'       Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to minimize downtime.

'       Coordinate emergency repairs and prioritize work orders based on production needs.

'       Support machine installations, moves, and commissioning of new equipment.

'       Work with vendors and OEMs for advanced troubleshooting and service support.

'       Develop, implement, and monitor preventive maintenance (PM) schedules for CNC and facility equipment.

'       Track PM completion and equipment reliability metrics.

'       Analyze downtime trends and implement corrective actions to reduce repeat failures.

'       Maintain maintenance documentation in CMMS or tracking systems.

'       Supervise and schedule maintenance technicians across shifts, as applicable.

'       Provide technical coaching and on-the-job training.

'       Enforce safety procedures, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and PPE requirements.

'       Participate in hiring, onboarding, and performance management of maintenance staff.

'       Ensure compliance with Cal/OSHA regulations and company safety policies.

'       Support aerospace quality requirements (AS9100/ISO) related to equipment control and calibration.

'       Participate in safety investigations and corrective action plans.

'       Ensure maintenance activities do not compromise product quality or traceability.
