Maintenance Supervisor

What this job involves: As a Maintenance Supervisor, you'll lead a team responsible for maintaining optimal building operations and tenant satisfaction. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with team leadership, overseeing everything from routine repairs to complex maintenance projects while ensuring safety standards and operational efficiency.

What your day-to-day will look like:

Lead and supervise routine and preventive maintenance tasks, including plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and general repairsConduct facility inspections and report on conditions impacting client occupancy and operationsManage and prioritize tenant service requests, special cleaning, and general maintenance tasksCoordinate with operations teams on general office maintenance and special projectsSupervise maintenance of locks, locking mechanisms, closers, doors, furniture, and controllersDiagnose complex maintenance issues and coordinate prompt resolutions to minimize downtimeOversee moving of office furniture, machinery, equipment, and materials as neededTrain, mentor, and supervise maintenance team membersManage vendor relationships, including selection and performance evaluationMaintain accurate records for all completed workDevelop and implement maintenance schedules and proceduresEnsure compliance with all safety protocols and maintain a clean, safe workplace

Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent3+ years of maintenance experience in commercial buildings or facilities2+ years of supervisory or team leadership experienceProficiency in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry repairsKnowledge of safety protocols and OSHA regulationsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various physical conditionsStrong problem-solving and diagnostic skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsProficiency in maintenance management software and basic computer applications

Preferred Qualifications:

Associate degree in Building Maintenance, Facilities Management, or related field5+ years of commercial facility maintenance experienceHVAC certification or licensingElectrical or plumbing trade certificationExperience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)Knowledge of building automation systemsProject management experienceVendor management experienceBilingual capabilities

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, with on-call availability and overtime as needed.

Estimated compensation for this position:

90,000.00 – 105,000.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
