The Maintenance Supervisor will play a pivotal role in this goal through the technical development of maintenance team and leading People, Budgeting, Scheduling, while overseeing the preventive and corrective maintenance execution, productivity projects and continuous improvement.
This role will have a strong focus on Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) through Progressive Maintenance (PM) driving continuous improvement in all maintenance categories such as: breakdowns eradication, planned corrective maintenance, inspections and repairs, Time/Cycle Based Maintenance and Condition Based Maintenance.
To define success, we will use key metrics for our priorities Safety, Health, Environment, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Morale, including but not limited to Safety and Quality Incidents Eradication, Volume Attainment, Productivity, Global Efficiency, MTBF, MTBB and MTTR, and Engagement.
**How you will contribute:**
+ Lead and direct mechanics and electricians through a Daily Management System (DMS).
+ Manage the hiring process for mechanics and electricians in partnership with other supervisors and union stewards.
+ Ensure a robust 90-day plan, training, and reviews for new hires to ensure a proper onboarding process.
+ Develop all direct reports through regular training and coaching.
+ Publish and post weekly and weekend schedules, including regular and overtime hours.
+ Ensure daily timecard management for accurate payroll processing.
+ Schedule vacations accordingly, ensuring minimal disruption to production lines.
+ Serve as a subject matter expert for selected topics and facilitate maintenance-related training.
+ Ensure compliance with the collective bargaining agreement in decision-making.
+ Engage direct reports in 5S and GMP, ensuring ownership for the maintenance storeroom, maintenance shop, shop equipment, toolboxes, carts, and cages.
+ Maintain critical quality processes and instrumentation (metal detectors/decade box).
+ Coach direct reports in DMS Level 1, with the participation of mechanics, electricians, and operators.
+ Lead DMS Level 2 with the participation of all direct reports, following the PDCA board for planning work for the next 24 hours.
+ Participate in DMS Level 3, updating the Maintenance Leadership Team with current line performance, priorities, and escalations needed.
+ Utilize CMMS (SAP) for accurately managing all maintenance-related processes.
+ Schedule and track work orders for preventive and corrective maintenance daily.
+ Review and manage the backlog for the section, working on its reduction throughout the year.
+ Own planned corrective maintenance through abnormality tags, creating work orders and assigning them to direct reports.
+ Provide emergency response to breakdowns, coordinating with vendors and the tool crib to procure parts for the section.
+ Ensure a flawless breakdown eradication process according to defined triggers, leading Root Cause Analysis with the participation of mechanics and electricians involved in the breakdown resolution.
+ Oversee the work permitting process for hot work, confined space entry, work from heights, and general permits.
+ Collaborate with planners to effectively plan, execute, and improve maintenance plans.
+ Collaborate with the tool crib to ensure proper parts and spare parts are available based on criticality and utilization.
+ Ensure direct reports update work orders with completion details, time spent, and parts used after execution.
+ Execute health checks post preventive or corrective maintenance work orders.
+ Manage maintenance spending through budgeting and forecasting compliance, goods receipts, and accruals for the section in partnership with the asset reliability team.
+ Regularly report performance indicators using the CMMS, dashboards, and scorecards.
+ Schedule and track work orders on the CMMS and maintenance schedule sheet.
+ Create and track notifications (planned corrective maintenance) on the CMMS.
+ Collaborate with the Section Manager and Process Engineers on section-aligned priorities daily in section DMS Level 2, and on improvements and productivity projects weekly/monthly.
+ Participate in projects and change management with engineering teams.
+ Plan and execute outages during blackout weeks.
+ Manage required contractors for maintenance work that cannot be performed by direct reports.
+ Participate in Safety and Quality audits and implement preventive/corrective actions and documentation.
**Education / Certifications:**
+ GED/ High School Diploma completed (Required)
+ Bachelor's degree (Preferred)
+ Knowledge in TPM, Lean Manufacturing, Reliability Engineering, or Maintenance Excellence are a plus
**Job specific requirements:**
+ Availability to work in different shifts to be defined by management
+ Availability to work in different schedules, weekends and holidays as needed
+ Mechanical and Electrical knowledge
+ Bakery Experience (Preferred)
+ 3-5 years as a Maintenance Supervisor
+ Leadership of with Union hourly employees
+ Experience with SAP
**Salary and Benefits:**
+ The base salary range for this position is $73,900 - $92,400. The exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with the possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results. In addition, Mondelez International offers the following benefits: health insurance, wellness and family support programs, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plans, paid leave programs, education related programs, paid holidays, and vacation time.
