We are looking for a Maintenance Supervisor for 2nd Shift. This position will be based at our facility in Grand Prairie, TX. You’ll make an impact by: Leading a team of maintenance technicians to maintain production lines and equipment in a way that ensures a safe working environment, stays in sync with established standards and procedures, and encourages growth and contributions by team members. Plan and schedule work activities based on production schedules and changing priorities while monitoring team progress versus objectives versus goals and communicate results to associates. Also, assist with planning and execution of maintenance activities during shutdown periods. Support production activities by maintaining and improving production facilities to meet/exceed production goals, identify and correct causes of equipment downtime, while tracking, evaluating, and reporting on maintenance activities, project, and corrective actions. Recommend and implement improvements to optimize use of labor, raw materials, and equipment. Carry out HR activities such as performance appraisals, training, interviewing, counseling and staff and resource utilization. Also, facilitate smooth transition of information between shifts, including accurate and complete exchange of information to other shift teams and supporting documents. You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications: Basic Qualifications: 7+ years of experience in a direct supervisor role in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.Mechanical Proficiency with experience using hand tools. Highschool diploma or equivalent. Project Management experience. Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship. Preferred Qualifications: Union experience. Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field. Expert/Knowledge in TPM Systems, Warehouse management systems and inventory systems. Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office(excel), email, SAP, or equivalent ERP). Experience implementing and leading continuous process improvements via disciplines such as Six Sigma/ Lean/ Visual Factory environment. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
