This is a salaried, exempt-level position.

Position Summary:
The Maintenance Superintendent leads all maintenance operations at our Toledo facility. This role ensures equipment reliability, reduces downtime, and manages maintenance costs. You will support production goals through high-quality repair and maintenance services, implement best practices, and drive continuous improvement. Key responsibilities include equipment management, contractor oversight, vendor and spare parts management, budgeting, and team development.

Position Responsibilities:Ensure all employees, visitors, vendors, and contractors comply with ADM safety policies and proceduresSet goals and expectations for the maintenance team to achieve performance excellenceSupport production departments in safety, quality, and audit complianceAlign and execute ADM’s Maintenance and Reliability strategyOversee preventive maintenance and reliability activitiesManage the maintenance budget and control monthly repair and maintenance spendingLead root-cause analysis for equipment failures and implement corrective actionsTrack and analyze maintenance metrics to improve performanceTrain production staff on equipment operation, maintenance, and troubleshootingMaintain an organized storeroom and inventory of spare partsCoordinate maintenance schedules to minimize production disruptionsManage maintenance records using CMMS and ensure accurate documentationLead maintenance projects focused on asset reliability and defect eliminationSupport team development through training, feedback, and coaching
Position Qualifications:Degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Production Manufacturing, or related fieldElectrical and mechanical knowledge requiredExperience with Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) processesStrong background in maintenance management or supervision, preferably in food, feed, or chemical production environmentsKnowledge of asset management techniques and proficiency with CMMS and Microsoft OfficeExcellent problem-solving, diagnostic, and analytical skillsStrong communication and leadership abilitiesFamiliarity with machinery, instrumentation, and electrical systems
Physical Requirements:Ability to move throughout the facility, including climbing stairs and ladders, and work at heightsWork indoors and outdoors year-round, occasionally in dusty, noisy, or hazardous environments
