**Job Description**
Position Summary
The Maintenance Superintendent oversees the maintenance programs across multiple remote workforce accommodations and camp facilities in Manitoba, Ontario, and Nunavut. This position ensures that all camp infrastructure, systems, and equipment are maintained to operational and regulatory standards through the consistent application of the company’s IMTR (Inspection, Maintenance, Testing, and Repair) plan. The Superintendent plays a key leadership role in planning, budgeting, executing, and documenting maintenance activities while training and supporting on-site maintenance personnel.
Key Responsibilities
+ Oversee and coordinate all maintenance activities for multiple remote camp sites, ensuring full compliance with the company’s IMTR plan.
+ Develop and manage preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual requirements.
+ Provide technical support and leadership to site-based maintenance teams; ensure safe work practices and effective troubleshooting of systems and equipment.
+ Supervise, mentor, and train on-site maintenance personnel to ensure consistent performance and adherence to standards.
+ Participate in the development and reconciliation of the maintenance labour and materials operating budget for all preventative, restorative, and corrective maintenance requirements as requested by the manager.
+ Monitor asset condition and identify potential risks or deficiencies before they impact operations.
+ Coordinate and oversee trades and subcontractor activities, ensuring timely reporting and performance tracking.
+ Ensure the adherence to all applicable federal and provincial regulations/standards/safety codes with respect to development and occupancy permits / electrical / plumbing / HVAC / building / fire / OH&S etc.
+ Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation for all maintenance, inspection, testing, and repair activities.
+ Contribute to updates and improvements to the IMTR program across the region.
+ Establish and maintain positive working relationships with partners, clients, vendors, and sub-contractors to ensure attainment of assigned goals.
+ Support capital planning and lifecycle replacement of infrastructure and equipment.
+ Be a safety leader and promote a culture of safety, efficiency, and accountability across all maintenance operations.
Working Conditions
+ Field-based work in remote camp environments located in ON, MB and NU.
+ Extended periods in fly-in/fly-out settings.
+ Exposure to varied weather conditions and working environments.
+ Accommodation and meals provided during travel.
**Qualifications**
Qualifications
+ Minimum 5 years’ experience in maintenance leadership or superintendent-level role, preferably in remote or industrial camp environments.
+ Strong knowledge of building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical infrastructure.
+ Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and recordkeeping.
+ Valid trade certification (Electrical, Millwright, Plumbing, HVAC) considered an asset.
+ Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple sites and priorities.
+ Excellent communication, coaching, and reporting skills.
+ Willingness to travel and work on rotational schedules in remote Northern environments.

**Work Schedule and Remuneration:**
Wages are paid based on a day rate schedule average salary of **$96,000** annually. Specific pay details are discussed at the interview phase.
