WHO WE ARE
Center Fixture Operations is one of two U.S. fixture production plants supporting Hallmark Cards, Inc. This plant processes orders and manufactures Hallmark’s product display concepts found in retail stores. We are a talented, small group with many skills. We focus on preventative maintenance and problem solving to reduce unscheduled down time. Our team works in a clean, safe environment and individuals in this department provide the necessary skills to install and maintain the production equipment in support of manufacturing and other facility areas.
WHAT YOUR ROLE ENTAILS AND HOW YOU'LL CONTRIBUTE
As a Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for:
Daily preventative maintenance and performing repairs on mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems Perform routine electrical connections, repairs, and troubleshooting on AC Control Systems for 120/240/480 voltages Interpret basic machine schematics and building blueprint drawings Safely operate electrical and gas welding equipment; understand welding principles HVAC system controls and minor repairs Basic plumbing or building construction Utilize good safety practicesBASIC QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or GED Valid Driver's License Successful completion of technical training courses covering basic electrical fundamentals which include high and low voltage electrical systems, circuits, and schematic reading OR a minimum 2 years of work experience performing mechanical and electrical equipment repair on industrial manufacturing and/or commercial equipment Ability to work weekends and/or extended hours when needed Ability to push, pull, grasp, lift and carry items weighing up to 30 lbs frequently and 60 lbs occasionally. Ability to constantly stand, walk, twist, bend, and reach above shoulder level The ability to frequently work in awkward positions and occasionally work from ladders Ability to understand and follow established safety procedures for wearing PPE, lock/and tagout, and handling hazardous chemicals Ability to obtain forklift certification within eight weeks
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Basic math, written and oral communication skills, as well as basic computer skills Ability to set up area and work under pressure to meet production targets Ability to accept other duties as assigned Ability to learn and retain knowledge Ability to work as a team member
