Maintenance Specialist
The Maintenance Specialist minimizes downtime while ensuring safety, quality, and productivity standards. They coordinate planned maintenance and manage optimization programs for equipment reliability. This role supports engineering and production teams to maintain cost-effective, high-quality output. Focus is on aligning maintenance strategies with operational excellence and continuous improvement. **What You’ll Do**   + 20% Ensure all Safety, Environmental and other required Regulatory Compliances have been scheduled and completed per requirements. Ensure all applicable compliance activities (pressure vessel, relief value, substation inspections, etc.) are scheduled/completed per requirements and report status to appropriate associates. + 25% Lead efforts to meet Maintenance Objectives for planned work improvement, un-scheduled downtime reduction and other performance indicators - Monitor/report on the progress. + 25% Manage the optimization of the Planned Maintenance Program and Maintenance Reliability Strategy for each piece of equipment (ensuring that all planned activities are value added). + 10% Manage the stock of supplies/materials and maintain appropriate inventory levels. + 20% Support plant breakdown maintenance by: + Supplying technical support. + Participating/Leading root cause failure analysis. + Creating an engineering solution to design/maintenance issues (when necessary). **What We’re Looking For** + Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or in lieu of degree 7 or more years of relevant work experience. + 2 or more years of experience in Engineering/Maintenance Management (in an Industrial Environment) **What Will Set You Apart** + Experience working with multi-disciplinary Technical Associates - To achieve cost-effective goals + Experience in project management- Desired + Experience in Problem-Solving Techniques (DMAIC, A3) - Desired + Experience with Plant Optimization/Operational Excellence - Desired + Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams toward operational goals with strong planning and scheduling expertise. + Skilled in plant layouts, capital estimating, and manufacturing processes, including tire cost structures. + Brings deep knowledge of maintenance best practices and predictive maintenance strategies. + Exceptional leadership, communication, and analytical skills to drive performance and continuous improvement. \#LI-SM1 Goodyear is one of the world's largest tire companies.
