You can make a difference as a Maintenance & Safety Tech (Security guard) in our beautiful senior living community, where our residents feel like family. The Glen's 45-acre campus includes 102 Independent Living apartments, 18 Independent cottages, 42 Assisted Living apartments, and a 30-bed new memory care building.
Position Summary: Maintain a peaceful and secure community environment for our residents and staff. Security and maintenance duties included:
Patrol building for resident safety and equipment checks.First responder to, and investigate complaints, thefts, vandalism, accidents, or incidents and promptly report to the management, law enforcement officials, or emergency/rescue personnel as is appropriate.Light maintenance as needed – salt and shovel walkways for safety during ice & snow, respond to plumbing issues in maintenance off hours, light bulbs, etc.Resident services as needed such as package delivery, valet vehicles, etc.Education Requirements: High school diploma or GED. The Glen will pay for required security license class and certification if needed.
Experience Requirements: 2 years' experience preferred. Valid NYS Driver's License required. Security license preferred.
Pay Range: $18.50 - $24.66
Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
