DESCRIPTION OF WORK In this position, you will be responsible for conducting routine repairs and replacements, including lighting, plumbing valves, switches, and broken glass, as well as addressing clogged plumbing issues. Your tasks will also involve replacing doors, constructing or dismantling partitions, and performing minor roof inspections and repairs. Additionally, you will operate and maintain air conditioning units, generators, HVAC systems, and other building appliances as required. You will create rough plans, estimate material quantities, specify parts for procurement, and select appropriate tools for various projects. It is essential to ensure high-quality preventative maintenance and repairs for department buildings and grounds while providing prompt customer service as priorities permit. Adherence to departmental policies regarding safety, leave, and purchasing documentation is crucial. You will also collaborate with field personnel to maintain satellite stockpile facilities, utilizing lawn care equipment and snow removal tools as necessary, and effectively communicate with supervisors regarding job progress and material requirements.
