About this position The Maintenance Repairer 1-2 is a valuable part of the Ville Platte Housing Authority because of their function of work to make minor repairs to buildings and perform general maintenance. This incumbent will work under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor. He will instruct you on your work duties on a day-to day operation. Minimum Qualifications One year of experience or training in the building construction trades, building maintenance, maintenance or repair of mechanical equipment, or as a parks building and grounds attendant; OR Six semester hours in construction management, construction technology, or engineering, or any combination of these courses. Job Duties and Other Information Job Duties: This position main responsibilities are to make minor repairs to the interior/exterior of the buildings and facilities and maintains furniture and equipment employing basic skills in the plumbing, carpentry, electrical, mechanical, and related fields. Maintains and makes repairs to appliances and the pumps station. Position-Specific Details: Appointment Type: Probational Career Progression: This position participates in aCareer Progression Group (CPG)and may be filled as aMaintenance Repair 1 or 2. The level at which the vacancy is filled will be determined by the qualifications of the candidate selected. This position provides the opportunity to advance within this job series. Work Schedule: Works hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00pm. Compensation: The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
