The Maintenance Planner enhances workforce productivity and work quality by proactively identifying and eliminating potential delays through effective planning and coordination of manpower, materials, parts, and equipment access. This role is responsible for preparing detailed plans for individual work orders, developing work schedules, and generating maintenance reports. Working closely with the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Planner plays a key role in building and maintaining a reliable Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). The position supports the plant maintenance department by developing comprehensive job plans, managing spare parts inventory, and scheduling advanced maintenance projects and capital work. Here’s more of what you’ll get to do: Maintenance Planning and Coordination Develop work plans for maintenance activities with necessary information to enable efficient scheduling, assignment, and execution. Coordinate with maintenance team members to ensure process reliability and support the development and implementation of a comprehensive preventive maintenance program. Assist in planning and scheduling capital projects. Data and Inventory Management Maintain accurate equipment and asset information, including inventory records. Enter and manage repair parts data in the CMMS system (ROSS), ensuring correct part numbers and storage locations. Review equipment assemblies to determine required spare parts, create Bills of Materials (BOMs), and recommend stock items. Maintain an organized and accurate parts storeroom, identifying and eliminating obsolete inventory. Ensure parts inventory accuracy through consistent data entry and verification in CMMS/ROSS. Procurement and Vendor Relations Support bidding procedures by evaluating vendor performance, reviewing material specifications, and managing supplier pre-qualification. Coordinate the receiving of repair parts and supply items into ROSS. Interface with vendors regarding returns, warranties, quality issues, payments, deliveries, and proof of delivery. Collaborate with TCFB Financial/Accounting to ensure proper accounting, payment processing, and resolution of related issues. System and Workflow Management Manage and analyze workflow processes within CMMS/ROSS to improve operational efficiency. What we require: Must have a minimum of 2 years of Maintenance Planning/Inventory experience. Proficiency in CMMS systems. Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Outlook. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, equipment manuals, and BOMs. Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance programs. Experience in work order planning, job scheduling, and resource allocation. Familiarity with capital project planning and long-term maintenance forecasting. Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and reliability. Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously. What we prefer: Background or education in mechanical, electrical or industrial engineering. Experience in a food production facility.
