Objective of the Job Support Crane Maintenance Supervisor and team in daily activities to ensure the Planning of safe, efficient, and successful Maintenance Outages and preventative tasks. Duties and Responsibilities + Ensure Safety, Environmental, Quality requirements and “where applicable” ResponsibleSteel requirements are followed. + Ensure good housekeeping practices are carried out in job areas + Schedules maintenance programs and processes for Coating Area of Big River Steel to minimize production interruptions. + Coordinate Crane Maintenance Activities and scheduling or preventive maintenance following proper codes, manuals, schematic diagrams, and other relevant specifications. + Works with Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance Personnel and evaluates the need for replacement parts. + Works directly with all Mechanical, Electrical, and Operations Personnel in a fast-paced environment to help develop a safety focused and productive process team. + Provide Support to the Crane Maintenance Manager and Maintenance Team in facilitating a seamless working relationship between all team members. + Assist Operations personnel as needed for operational tasks that are needed to successfully support the Processing Line. + Support Maintenance and Operations to help maintain a positive and efficient work environment focused on safety and reliability. + Work collectively with the Crane Maintenance Manager and Maintenance team with the Planning and Execution of Monthly and Annual Outages. + Build and update charts of outages and update all team members daily of Outage Progress. + Work with BRS Management to manage cost to ensure Big River’s Success. Qualifications + Demonstrated focus on safety and willingness to proactively apply it in a team environment. + Demonstrate strong team orientation and positive attitude. + Quality and Detail oriented. + Ability to interact with team members from various levels of the Organization. + Possess strong verbal and written communication skills. As well Presentation skills. + Ability to interpret and understand Mechanical and Electrical Schematics. + Knowledge of Electrical and Mechanical Coating Equipment. + Excellent Planning and Organization Skills. + Knowledge of Microsoft Office: Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point, and Project. + Ability to Multitask. Working Conditions and Physical Requirements The environment is typical for a steel mill production area, with extreme temperatures, high noise levels, and dusty/greasy areas. Physically demanding work will be required in the production environment. Scheduled work hours are day shift Monday through Friday, however additional hours in a week will most likely be required.
