As a Maintenance Mechanic, your primary role will be to ensure all safety devices are operational and effective, and to maintain overall safety within the company's operations. The position offers a great opportunity for a permanent role.

Responsibilities:

Manage all equipment with goal operations has zero downtimeSpeak with managers regarding equipment problemsUse cost effective strategies for repairs and preventative measuresWork to reduce down timeGreasing and oilingChecking and maintaining screening equipmentChecking and maintaining dust collectorsForklift and loader maintenance checksMaintain pallet, truck and bucket scaleMaintain crushing unit Initiate and implement projects for improving safety, quality, delivery and costReport on status of projects to meet deadlines and communicate any issuesMust have good communication skills via text/email/phoneTool inventoryKeep company compliant with Lock Out/Tag Out and OSHASchedule fire extinguisher testing and repairSchedule annual employee forklift trainingCollaborate with General Manager to teach and enforce effective safety protocols
