We are searching for a full time, direct hire 2nd or 3rd shift Maintenance Mechanic in Erie, PA to perform all maintenance functions including minor electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and piping relative to electroplating and waste treatment
You will
- Perform routing building maintenance and repair
- Work as back up to the Waste Treatment Technician
- Inspect all fire extinguishers, eye wash stations and shower stations monthly
- Participate in safety committee and update lock out tag out policies as needed
You will have
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting preferred
- Trade school or apprenticeship preferred in one of the primary disciplines of the position
- Working knowledge of hand tools, power tools, soldering guns and torches, cutting torches and arc welders
- A willingness to work with chemicals related to hazardous chemicals related to electroplating and waste treatment
- A willingness and ability to work OT and weekends as needed
- Have the ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing in English
The pay is $20-25/hr based on experience with OT available as well
