Ecolab is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join our team in Fort Worth, Texas. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you’ll be responsible for applying Ecolab standards, and ensuring safe, sustainable, and efficient operations to maintain plant equipment and infrastructure. You will also perform core TPM activities, such as Safety & Environmental, Progressive Quality, Training & People Development, Autonomous Maintenance, Focused Improvement, Preventative Maintenance, and 5S.


How You’ll Make an Impact:

Understand and comply with SH&E standards, actively promote safe and responsible behavior, and positively challenge any unsafe practices by completing monthly safety observations

Proactively propose and implement improvements to existing work practices and quality of products

Look for and record non-conformances on equipment and report to Maintenance Team Leader

Contribute to root cause analysis and develop solutions to help with quality management

Monitor effectiveness of maintenance activities to maximize equipment availability

Implement continuous improvement activities via problem solving or tagging activities, contribute fully to TPM improvement teams, and promote a culture of continuous improvement

Follow standard maintenance procedures, proposing and implementing improvements, and ensuring timely completion of all maintenance tasks. These tasks may consist of electrical, welding, plumbing, troubleshooting on filler equipment, tank and pipes, part replacements as well as PLC programming.

Complete all planned and preventative maintenance tasks on-time including timely escalation of potential issues to engineering team

Propose new preventative maintenance tasks or updates for the existing preventative maintenance tasks

Carry out safe and effective equipment repairs, including urgent breakdown repairs

Perform other duties as assigned


Position Details:

Plant Location: Fort Worth, Texas

Work Week: Monday - Thursday, 3:45pm-1:45am

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent

4 years of experience working in an industrial maintenance environment (all other sites than KOP)

4 years of experience working in an industrial maintenance environment (KOP)

1 year of experience with electronic and PLC based applications in an industrial environment

1 year of experience with electrical and mechanical systems in an industrial environment (McDonough, Martinsburg, KOP, Joliet, Garland, Greensboro, COI)

Preferred Qualifications:

2 years of mechanical experience in a chemical plant

4 years of industrial experience

1 year of experience with tools, procedures and methods utilized in an industrial maintenance environment.

Experience working with pumps, welding, bearings, electrical safety, forklifts, gears, hydraulics, valves, and rigging

Formal vocational training in an industrial engineering discipline

Strong attention to detail and communication skills

Experience working in a TPM environment · Ability to read and follow instructions

Ability to track safety, quality, and productivity data

Experience working in a Lean manufacturing environment


Physical Requirements of Position:

Lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs

Kneeling, bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, and reaching above and below waist level

Working in a chemical processing plant, which could include environments with varying temperatures, smells, at heights, in confined spaces, and varying noise levels

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range:

The pay range is $28-$42 per hour depending on experience. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
