Maintenance Mechanic III 2nd - Shift

Eaton’s AER MSD Mission System Division division is currently seeking a Maintenance Mechanic III 2nd - Shift. 

The hours for this role are 3pm-12:30am

The hourly rate for this position is $35.00 an hour + 10% shift differential per hour per hour.

What you’ll do:

Summary: 
Maintains and repairs all factory equipment and facilities. Interprets electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical data. Performs electrical, mechanical and pneumatic maintenance and repairs. Ability to utilize basic hand tools and electrical testing equipment. Maintains maintenance spare part inventories. Orders parts and components. Coordinates with and directs contractors and vendors performing facility and equipment maintenance. Implements preventive maintenance program.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

•    Ability to troubleshoot and diagnosis electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment.
•    Ability to interpret electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic schematics.
•    Maintain all equipment maintenance and repair records utilizing a CMMS 
•    Following a prepared schedule, lubricate machines and equipment using specified lubricants. 
•    Operate common hand and power tools, such as hand drill, saws, hammer, pliers, wire cutters, and wrenches.
•    Comply with all safety regulations/procedures and maintains a clean and orderly work area.
•    Work from ladders and scissor lifts, as required. 
•    Lead in installation of testing and machine equipment. 
•    Change coolants, soluble oils, filters and cleaning components of machines as called for by schedule or as required by supervisors. 
•    Maintain and repair of high-pressure pumps, valves and gauges. 
•    Assist other maintenance personnel tasks such as cleaning components of machines as called for by schedule or as required by supervisors. 
•    Maintain the main and satellite hazardous waste collection areas.
•    Support safety team, Confined Space, Hazmat, Crane/Hoist, and High-Pressure Testing, Hot work permitting, forklift and lock-out-tag-out processes. 

Qualifications:

Required:
•    High school diploma or GED
•    Valid driver’s license 
•    4+ years of experience in an industrial maintenance and troubleshooting equipment.
•    Ability to safely operate hand tools.
•    Experience with Lock-Out-Tag-Out
•    Basic computer skills
•    Read and interpret blueprints and tape measure. 


Preferred:

•    Vocational degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
•    Ability to work in confined spaces.
•    OSHA or NFPA 70E Safety training or experience.
•    Hazmat training or experience. 
•    Forklift training or experience.
