Maintenance TechnicianJob SummaryProvide general building maintenance and repair services supporting facility operations through lighting maintenance, minor repairs, tenant services, and equipment assistance. Ensure safe, functional facility environment while maintaining accurate work records and supporting operational team objectives.
Key ResponsibilitiesBuilding Maintenance & Repairs
Maintain lighting systems including bulb replacement and ballast changesPerform minor plumbing repairs and general office maintenance including furniture installation and repairsComplete painting, locksmith work, and special cleaning tasks as assignedAssist operations team with building equipment maintenance and repair activitiesWorking ConditionsCommercial building environment with regular exposure to moving mechanical parts, heavy equipment, and varying weather conditions. Work involves mechanical/equipment rooms, outdoor areas, and potential exposure to fumes, electrical shock risk, and loud noise levels. Position requires flexibility for various maintenance tasks and tenant support activities.
Specialized Knowledge
Understanding of hazardous materials handling and disposal proceduresBasic knowledge of HVAC systems and mechanical equipmentExperience with office furniture installation and configurationFamiliarity with electrical systems and minor electrical repairsPreferred QualificationsAdvanced Skills & Experience
Experience with commercial building maintenance and facility operationsKnowledge of painting techniques, locksmith procedures, and furniture systemsBackground in landscaping or grounds maintenancePrevious experience with Maximo or similar CMMS systemsCore Competencies
