GENERAL PURPOSE: Perform general mechanical maintenance of facility and equipment in a timely and courteous manner.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Performs mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
• Repairs and maintains facility systems (HVAC, chiller, boiler, plumbing, compressed air, and humidification).
• Tests and treats boiler feed water with specified chemicals.
• Troubleshoots and resolves mechanical problems and makes repairs as needed.
• Performs basic welding, brazing, and cutting to fabricate items such as guardrails, brackets, and hangers.
• Paints and performs minor repairs of building interior and exterior including masonry, wallboard, ceiling tiles, woodwork, etc.
• Uses rulers, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments accurately.
• Performs basic handiwork such as replacing light bulbs, ballasts, water and air filters, and plumbing fixtures, cleaning drains and hanging pictures and bulletin boards.
• Maintains the interior and exterior of the building including woodwork and replacing ceiling tiles.
• Prepares and operates machine tools such as lathes, grinders, drill presses, and mills to repair or fabricate machine parts and/or fixtures.
• Troubleshoots minor electric and electronic problems.
• Performs inspections of and tests fire alarms and pumps.
• Maintains accurate maintenance records.
• Supports various recycling programs such as light bulbs, batteries, and metals.
• Operates scissors and forklifts.
• Performs other job duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to properly use rulers, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments.Working knowledge of AC/DC motors.Training in basic electrical and mechanical safety.Basic computer experience.Knowledge of the safe use of hand tools and small power tools.Ability to pass color vision and color‑hue testing.Consistent and reliable attendance.Willingness to work overtime as needed.Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.SAFETY EXPECTATIONS:

The starting rate is $27.91 per hour, depending on your role, level, and location.
