We want your knowledge and expertise! **Job Summary and Qualifications** The Maintenance Engineer assists in the performance of duties necessary to keep the physical structure and associated equipment of the Hospital in good repair. Primary duties include minor electrical work, mechanical repairs and other duties relating to maintenance. + Working knowledge of and ability to use basic hand tools and the test equipment specific to the field. + Ability to understand the basics of electronics, steam, pressure, hydraulic, thermodynamics, and reading electrical and plumbing schematics. + Ability to follow semi-complex written instructions, perform tasks and document actions taken. + Articulate and demonstrate commitment to the Philosophy, Values, and Mission of Saint Mary's Mercy Medical Center. + Ability to consistently demonstrate the Organizational Core Competencies, Organizational Code of Ethics and adhere to the Compliance Program. **What qualifications you will need:** + High school diploma or equivalent + 1 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. + Shows how to use (through a competency assessment) a standard desktop and windows-based computer system, including a basic understanding of email, e-learning, intranet and computer navigation.
