**Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic** **Job Description** Join our team as a Maintenance Mechanic on the 2nd Shift, working from 3pm to 11pm, Monday through Friday. This role involves performing mechanical maintenance in the can line department, focusing on maintenance repairs of conveyors, pumps, fans, screens, cylinders, and motors. You will also be responsible for troubleshooting equipment, conducting preventative maintenance, and applying lockout/tagout procedures. **Responsibilities** + Perform mechanical maintenance in the can line department. + Repair conveyors, pumps, fans, screens, cylinders, and motors. + Troubleshoot equipment and identify mechanical issues. + Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure equipment reliability. + Apply lockout/tagout procedures to maintain safety standards. + Work with fine details and communicate effectively with team members between shifts. **Essential Skills** + Mechanical aptitude with gear boxes, motors, servo motors, conveyors, rollers, and bearings. + Ability to read blueprints and schematics. + Knowledge of 480V systems and ability to perform minor repairs. + Troubleshooting skills using sight, sound, and smell. + Experience with maintenance, electrical repair, pneumatics, preventive maintenance, welding, and fabrication. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Industrial Maintenance Technician certification. + Experience in paper or steel mills, chemical plants, or high-speed packaging and bagging equipment is a plus. + Skills in PLC troubleshooting, electrical troubleshooting, and forklift operation. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy a $1500 sign-on bonus, competitive 401k with a 6% company match, and comprehensive BlueCross/BlueShield medical, vision, and dental coverage.
