Maintenance MechanicJob Summary

Perform maintenance and repairs on building systems and manufacturing equipment under direction of Facility and Operations Managers. Ensure safety compliance and optimal performance across HVAC, mechanical systems, and building automation.

Key Responsibilities

Equipment Maintenance

Troubleshoot and repair industrial HVAC equipment, manufacturing process equipment, and mechanical systemsMaintain pumps, motors, hydraulics, bulk fluid systems, and oil mist collectorsOperate and maintain tank farm systems with reporting and repair functionsExecute preventive/predictive maintenance programs and complete work orders within 24 hours

Building Systems & Safety

Support building automation, power systems (normal, emergency, UPS), and utility pipingService compressed air, backflow preventers, and calibrate gas/water metersEnsure safety training compliance, complete safety PMs, and utilize pre-task planningMaintain forklift/aerial lift licenses and manage spare parts inventoryRequired Qualifications

Education & Experience

5+ years facility maintenance experienceJourneyman certification desired in HVAC, Electrical, Machine Repair, or Mechanical areasExperience with manufacturing and industrial systems

Technical Skills

Strong knowledge of HVAC/R, mechanical systems, and building automationExperience with pumps, motors, hydraulics, and power systemsExtensive Microsoft Office Suite knowledgeStrong communication skills and detail-oriented approach

Core Competencies

Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systemsPhysical capability to operate forklifts and aerial lifts safelyUnderstanding of safety protocols and environmental compliancePreferred Qualifications

Advanced Skills

Experience with controller programs (Allen-Bradley, Fanuc, Siemens)Knowledge of MAXIMO maintenance management systemsGrobb knowledge and predictive maintenance technologiesAdvanced HVAC, electrical, or mechanical certifications

Specialized Experience

Backup generators and emergency power systems knowledgeTank farm operations and bulk fluid handling experienceEnvironmental compliance and reporting backgroundWorking Conditions

Industrial manufacturing environment requiring operation of aerial lifts and forklifts, emergency response flexibility, and hands-on mechanical work.
