Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic Location: Geneva, NY Work schedule: Sunday through Friday 10:30 pm to 6:30 am Compensation: $40/hr Type: Direct Hire Requirements + High School graduate, or equivalent + Associate degree in mechanical technology, electrical technology, or engineering science a plus. + Completion of a mechanical or electrical apprenticeship, or military technical training strongly preferred. + Advanced technical knowledge of machine shop operations, welding, mechanical/electrical maintenance principles (shafts, bearings, gearboxes, hydraulics, pneumatics, AC/DC motors, starters, contactors, three phase power, PLC’s) required. + Ability to read blueprints, possess advanced mechanical/electrical troubleshooting skills and production maintenance work experience. + Initiative/motivation and communication skill required. + Overall work experience (years) 7-plus years’ mechanic experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment + The position is in the factory and could involve standing, walking and lifting for long periods of time throughout the day. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Occasionally this position may require the lifting and/or moving of more than 60 pounds. All lifting must comply with OSHA standards. Responsibilities + Diagnose, repair, and maintain all packaging and support equipment to optimize efficiency and quality. + Conducts line changeovers and makes necessary set-up and adjustments as required by the production schedule. + Perform line alteration, rebuilding as necessary. + Utilize data from both CMMS and MES to analyse and solve both routine and complex electrical and mechanical problems of processing, packaging, and auxiliary equipment. + Assist manufacturing personnel on process related problems + Perform established Preventative Maintenance.
