Maintenance Mechanic
**Employment Type:** Full time **Shift:** Day Shift **Description:** **Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician.** **Mechanical repairs of patient/resident equipment (beds, wheel chairs, bedside tables, gurneys and other hospital and extended care equipment)** **Service work – Including but not limited to:** **Electrical repair or replacement of light** **receptacles(bulb/ballast** **replacements)** **Plumbing maintenance and repair.(clogged stools, clogged sinks, etc.)** **Kitchen equipment maintenance and repair of garbage disposal, dish washer, food carts and small appliances.** **Minor repairs of building and equipment, desks, shelving and sheet rock repairs.** **Inspection/Repair of both manual and automatic doors** **Preventative maintenance – Including but not limited to:** **Air Handler/Exhaust Fan Preventative Maintenance** **Kitchen Equipment Preventative Maintenance** **Pnuematic Tube System Preventative Maintenance** **TJC Building Inspections** **High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)** **Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training for child and dependent adult abuse within three (3) months of hire.** **Valid Drivers License, must meet Mercy's motor vehicle standards** **Working Knowledge of basic hand tools** **1-2 years of general maintenance experience(preferred** **Our Commitment** Rooted in our Mission and Core Values, we honor the dignity of every person and recognize the unique perspectives, experiences, and talents each colleague brings.
