Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic
Job Description

The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing general maintenance of facilities and equipment, ensuring their optimal operation. This role requires completing necessary paperwork associated with maintenance activities to support production.

ResponsibilitiesAnalyze and repair mechanical problems associated with fork trucks, air compressors, and piping systems.Repair and maintain FRP equipment.Fabricate wood and steel items.Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including motor controls and lighting circuits.Adhere to technical manuals and code requirements.Maintain records and complete required paperwork.Address environmental issues.Perform maintenance of grounds and facility cleaning/janitorial responsibilities.Complete additional duties as assigned.Essential SkillsHigh School Diploma or equivalent.Technical training in mechanical/electrical field or maintenance mechanics.Minimum of 1-year experience in the repair and maintenance of mechanical/electrical systems/equipment in a manufacturing/industrial environment.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings/schematics.Proficiency in PC-based software is preferred.Ability to work effectively in a team environment, displaying mutual respect.Fluent in English, including speaking, reading, understanding, and writing.Additional Skills & QualificationsProactive team player with a focus on improvement.Highly organized with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate with various people.Marine experience is preferred but not required.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The work environment is a shop floor setting, which is non-climate controlled, and temperatures fluctuate with outdoor conditions. Employees frequently encounter high temperatures, particularly during summer months, and moderate noise levels with occasional spikes. Safety gear, including safety glasses, Tyvek aprons, and respirators, is required. The role involves exposure to moving mechanical parts, resins, fiberglass dust, epoxy, composites, and other chemicals. Physical demands include standing for extended periods, bending, stooping, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Steel toe boots are mandatory.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Flagler Beach, Florida.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
