Job Description
We are seeking a skilled mechanical maintenance technician to join our wire manufacturing team. The role involves diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical issues on conveyor systems and production equipment. You will utilize mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic processes to perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and installations of new plant equipment.
ResponsibilitiesDiagnose and troubleshoot mechanical problems on conveyor systems and production equipment.Repair bearings, shafts, bagging machines, mixers, and conveyors.Perform preventative maintenance using mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic processes.Install new plant equipment efficiently.Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and drawings.Use meters and understand basic voltages, deltas, and wiring diagrams.Engage in 10% electrical and 90% mechanical maintenance tasks.Essential Skills2+ years of mechanical maintenance experience.2+ years of experience in troubleshooting and repairing production machinery.Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and drawings.Ability to use meters and understand basic electrical concepts.Experience in hydraulic and pneumatic systems.Additional Skills & QualificationsMechanical aptitude.Experience with 3-phase electrical systems.Experience in food manufacturing, industrial environments, or similar.Skills in welding and fabrication.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
Work in a high-speed wire production facility that can experience extreme temperatures. The facility is older, with older equipment that requires innovative problem-solving to keep operations running smoothly. The maintenance team includes electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration technicians, working alongside production workers and forklift drivers. The dress code includes steel-toed boots, jeans, and work shirts. The shift hours are from 7 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays as needed.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dayton, Texas.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $29.00 - $31.00/hr.
