Job Description
As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of all plant equipment. Your role will involve performing preventive maintenance, installing new machinery, and troubleshooting equipment issues. You will play a key part in maintaining our production systems and ensuring safety standards are met.
ResponsibilitiesPerform daily preventive maintenance and repairs on all equipment.Install new equipment and determine necessary parts for repairs.Communicate effectively with operators and management to address daily operational needs.Fill out reports related to problems or parts ordering.Operate band saws, drill presses, grinders, and other shop tools competently.Maintain a clean and organized work area.Troubleshoot issues with plant machinery and repair molds using appropriate setup procedures.Replace or repair bearings and related parts, and make minor wiring repairs.Create fabrications from drawings and make repairs in high or enclosed areas.Perform welding in various positions, locations, and types of joints.Replace equipment parts following proper instructions and using the correct tools.Start or jog equipment to perform maintenance tasks and order minor parts.Collaborate with operators and supervisors to resolve machinery problems.Perform maintenance on equipment and tools within safety requirements.Attend safety meetings, adhere to safety rules, and report hazardous conditions.Essential SkillsTroubleshooting expertise with motors, drives, and PLC systems.Experience with foodservice production equipment such as baggers, washers, and slicers.Proficiency in mechanical repair, hydraulics, welding, and preventive maintenance.Ability to perform PLC troubleshooting and work with conveyors.Additional Skills & QualificationsCompetency in welding, PLC systems, mechanical operations, and conveyors.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The role is situated in a plant environment characterized by loud noise and exposure to dust. You will work in high, precarious places and near moving mechanical parts, dealing with extreme temperatures and vibration. Wearing mandatory and appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Meridian, Idaho.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
