**Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in preventative maintenance, mechanical and electrical troubleshooting of production and packaging equipment, and facility maintenance. Welding and fabrication skills are a bonus. This role requires a proactive individual capable of ensuring equipment efficiency and reliability. **Responsibilities** + Perform preventative maintenance on production and packaging equipment and machinery. + Conduct mechanical troubleshooting to identify and repair issues or inefficiencies. + Handle electrical troubleshooting and minor electrical maintenance and repairs. + Install and troubleshoot new machinery and equipment. + Maintain and upkeep the facility during downtime. + Perform welding and fabrication for new parts and repairs. **Essential Skills** + Experience in industrial maintenance. + Mechanical troubleshooting skills. + Electrical troubleshooting skills. + Ability to conduct preventative and corrective maintenance. + Facility maintenance skills. + Basic computer skills for data entry. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in a food facility is a bonus. + Welding and fabrication skills are a plus but not required. + Understanding of PLCs, VFDs, and Ladder Logic is a plus but not required. **Why Work Here?** We offer a supportive and dynamic work environment within a large, well-known food manufacturing and grocery chain. You will be required to work every other weekend to perform maintenance on machinery during production downtime. The facility follows GMPs, prohibiting piercings or jewelry on the production floor. Maintenance work includes areas with varying temperatures: a refrigerated area (35-40 degrees), a freezer, and occasionally a hot bakery area. The dress code consists of blue jeans, a plain t-shirt, and hair and beard nets if necessary.
