Maintenance Mechanic - 3rd Shift
**Position Overview** We are seeking a skilled **Industrial Maintenance Technician** to join our third-shift operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for repairing, maintaining, and improving production and facility equipment to support continuous operations. The ideal candidate will be experienced in both mechanical and electrical maintenance, with the ability to work independently across a wide range of systems including hydraulics, pneumatics, electronics, machining, and welding. This position requires someone who is adaptable, detail-oriented, and committed to ensuring equipment reliability, safety, and efficiency in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. **Key Responsibilities** + Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a wide variety of electrical and mechanical equipment, including presses, shears, cranes, welders, coil winders, ovens, and other production machinery. + Perform preventive maintenance and upgrades to improve equipment functionality and reliability. + Operate and set up common machine shop tools and equipment, ensuring precision adjustments and alignments. + Fabricate and weld using multiple welding processes for repair and project needs. + Diagnose and resolve issues across specialized maintenance areas: electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical. + Rig, move, install, and modify machinery as required. + Maintain plant utilities, ensuring safe and reliable operation. + Accurately interpret drawings, schematics, and technical documentation to support repair and installation work. + Utilize digital tools for email communication, data entry, and technical research. + Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following proper handling of chemicals, oils, and hazardous materials. **Qualifications** **Education & Experience** + High School Diploma or equivalent required; Technical Diploma in Industrial Maintenance, Electronics, or Electro-Mechanical Technology preferred. + 3–5 years of industrial maintenance experience (mechanical focus), OR 1–3 years of industrial electrical experience with technical training. + Familiarity with PLCs, variable frequency drives, and Microsoft Windows-based systems a plus. **Skills & Abilities** + Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. + Proficient in machining, welding, and fabrication. + Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. + Comfortable working at heights (up to ~70 feet) and in varied conditions (indoor/outdoor, hot/cold, clean/dirty). + Ability to safely lift and maneuver materials, using mechanical aids when necessary. **Work Environment** + Large manufacturing plant with shop-floor conditions. + Exposure to a range of environments from oily/wet to clean and controlled. + Role requires standing for extended periods with occasional climbing, balancing, pushing, pulling, and carrying. **Why Join Us?** This is a hands-on role in a dynamic manufacturing setting where your technical expertise will directly impact production uptime and efficiency.
