Hiring Immediately - Full Time 

 

Master Electrician - Must be licensed as a Master Electrician or Maintenance Electrician in the state of Minnesota 

 

Hours: Dayshift, 7 am – 3 pm

 

The salary for this position is $47.27 per hour depending on your role, level, and location. Payrate: $47.27 / hour

 

We are looking for a Master Electrician with experience and thorough knowledge of a diverse range of electrical, power distribution, motor control, troubleshooting, and repair of an industrial facility. Our Master Electrician will oversee complex projects, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and provide technical expertise to a team of maintenance staff. Your expertise will ensure our electrical systems are reliable, efficient, and compliant.

The Opportunity:

Installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and control equipment throughout the facilityRead and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawingsSupport in-house certified maintenance staff in troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical issuesAdhere to safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environmentParticipate in training sessions to develop technical skills and knowledge of electrical systemsMaintain tools and equipment in proper working conditionMust be willing and available for duty as may be required to maintain continuous operation of this facilityCapable of lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, with or without accommodationOther duties as assigned

 

What you need to succeed:

Strong knowledge of electrical fieldKnowledge of all applicable federal, state and other safety regulations and proceduresMust possess a working knowledge of electrical safety precautions and procedures for example, LOTO, NFPA-70E.Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs, Honeywell, Allen Bradely Powerflex Drives, and/or GE DC Drives preferred.Available to work overtime as required.Must possess a strong desire and willingness to learn the equipment.Decision making and troubleshooting abilities Good communication and computer skills.Must be highly motivated, conscientious, and a good team player with a positive attitude.Ability to direct, inspect, and train in-house maintenance staff

 

Even better if you have the following:

Industrial Electrical and Instrumentation plant maintenance to include preventative maintenance tasks, troubleshooting, and repair of plant equipment in an industrial settingAbility to read and interpret construction drawings, wiring diagrams and specific ability to read work orders and translate them into work plansThe ability to read and understand electrical schematics, loop sheets, process and instrumentation diagrams, and equipment manuals.The ability to understand and troubleshoot various forms of control logic, such as ladder logic, and function block diagrams.The ability to use and understand various types of test equipment such as calibration equipment, digital multi-meters, megohmmeters, etc.Mechanical Automation System Installation & TroubleshootingOperational knowledge of automated industrial machinery which includes motors, servos, pumps, drives, relays, 3 phase power, communication devices, industrial / electronic controls and power transmission systems.A good understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.A strong PLC trouble shooting and problem-solving ability with practical, mechanical & electrical aptitude.

 

Some of the equipment is as follows:

Programmable logic controllers.Variable speed drives.Various industrial communication protocols.Motor control circuits. Electrical power distribution equipment such as feeder breakers, switches, transformers, and associated relays. AC induction motors, DC motors, AC synchronous motors and controls.


 

Minimum qualifications to be considered for the job:

High School or equivalentLicensed Master Electrician or Licensed Maintenance Electrician for the state of Minnesota Candidates are required to undergo a drug screening after receiving a conditional job offer, but before starting employment.
