The RFDS Simulator Maintenance Manager is responsible for coordinating all onsite activities relating to the operation and maintenance of the RFDS King Air Flight Simulator at Bundaberg, QLD.

KEY ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As the RFDS Simulator Maintenance Manager, you are accountable for:

Managing the overall operation and maintenance activities of the simulator (and site).Managing the site team members to help them achieve their key accountabilities and responsibilities.Managing site and team compliance against the relevant Thales and Customer prescribed standards and processes.Ensuring that team members are trained and competent in all aspects of their responsibilities.Delegating Self Certifying Maintainer (SCM) responsibilities to technicians as appropriate and consistent with their skill set.Developing and maintaining a sound working relationship with the customer and other relevant stakeholders.Providing leadership and driving the team to deliver required services.Proactively identifying issues and applying solutions as required, keeping management streams and relevant functional areas informed.

KEY KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
To be successful in your role, you will have demonstrated and/or acquired the following knowledge and experience:

Qualifications in Avionics, Electronics, Computer IT or similar fields.Minimum of 3 years experience as a supervisor in an operational or workshop environment.Customer Relationship Management.Sound interpersonal skills and ability to maintain good team morale.Demonstrated self-starter.Experience within a simulator, aviation or other technical maintenance environment is desirable
