In September of 2017, Bob Evans Farms was acquired by Post Holdings, Inc. and is part of the Refrigerated Retail division. Other divisions of Post include Post Consumer Brands (Cereal), Weetabix (Cereal – UK), Michael Foods (Foodservice), and 8th Avenue Food & Provisions (Private Label). Post has aggressive growth plans for BEF, highlighted by the recent deployment of capital to support innovation, marketing and manufacturing. **Responsibilities** **Position Overview:** This position is responsible for reviewing, planning and adherence of scheduled work and supervision of mechanics in order to maintain equipment, facilities and support operations. Plans, directs and controls the efforts of the Maintenance Department to maintain plant equipment and facilities commensurate with good engineering practices. Position is responsible for the R&M budget and conversion of dollars spent to pounds produced on the monthly P&L. Plan, direct and manage all capital projects and communicate in timely manner to plant manager and director/engineer progress, monetary spend relative to amount budgeted and routine updates on all capital projects. **Accountabilities** **:** + Safety 1st. Follow all workplace safety rules. + Carries managerial responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. + Supervises and assists workers in diagnosing malfunctions in machinery and equipment; Problem solving-analyzes and resolves work problems + Directs workers in electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment; Direct workers in diagnosing malfunctions in machinery and equipment + Interfaces with other departments to adjust work procedures and meet production schedules + Coordinates ordering materials/maintains supply of spare parts + Communicates and work with people from all levels of the company + Follow all SQF principles pertinent to your position as specified by the SQF Practitioner. + All food safety and human safety concerns need to be reported to appropriate personnel such as Safety Manager, FSQ Manager, etc. + Validates and verifies equipment preventive maintenance program is being reviewed at a minimum annual and updated when new equipment is received and/or existing assets are removed from the facility. **Qualifications** **Experience and Education:** Education Level: + BS in Engineering or a related field preferred.
