Position SummaryWe are seeking a results-driven Maintenance Manager to lead our Machine Shop and Die Maintenance Departments in a dynamic automotive manufacturing environment. This role demands a strong commitment to Safety, Quality, and Delivery, along with a continuous improvement mindset rooted in lean manufacturing principles.
Key Responsibilities Lead and oversee daily operations of the Machine Shop and Die Maintenance teams, ensuring alignment with company standards and production goals. Promote and enforce a Safety First culture across all maintenance activities. Provide strategic leadership to meet business targets and support long-term operational excellence. Develop and implement short-term strategies to enhance efficiency, productivity, and delivery performance while reducing costs. Build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships to drive collaboration and continuous improvement. Establish and maintain systems to ensure consistent quality and operational standards. Analyze shop performance, equipment utilization, product quality, and operating expenses to guide training, development, and capital investment decisions. Partner with internal customers and shop leaders to identify improvement opportunities and create development plans for individuals and teams. Prepare and manage operating and capital budgets; implement cost containment and reduction strategies. Present business condition reports and performance updates to senior leadership. Manage HR-related functions including scheduling, attendance, performance evaluations, and associate development. Foster a culture of teamwork, high morale, and accountability through daily engagement and support. Provide off-shift and weekend support as needed in a 24/7 operational environment. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Minimum Qualifications High School diploma or GED Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, or a related field Leadership experience in Maintenance, Machining, Engineering, or a related discipline Proven ability to translate strategy into actionable plans and monitor achievement Experience in Machining and/or Die Maintenance processes Strong written and oral communication skills Demonstrated ability to lead multiple projects across departments Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent organizational and time management abilities Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint In-depth knowledge of maintenance methods, procedures, and terminology 8+ years of experience managing Maintenance and/or Machine Shop departments 3+ years of experience in Spare Parts managementBenefits Summary:
