Maintenance Manager

At Conrad Tulum, we are looking for a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee all maintenance operations and ensure our facilities are maintained to the highest standards of safety, functionality, and luxury. This role is key to delivering an exceptional experience to our guests while supporting the hotel's operational efficiency and sustainability goals.

What will you be doing?

As Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for managing daily maintenance operations across the hotel, ensuring compliance with brand standards, and supporting the well-being of both guests and team members. Your main responsibilities include:

Supervising the daily maintenance and repair operations of the hotel

Coordinating with Housekeeping and other departments to prioritize maintenance tasks in guest rooms and public areas

Ensuring all mechanical systems, equipment, and facilities are operating safely and efficiently

Implementing safety procedures and maintaining compliance with local regulations

Monitoring and maintaining all hotel fixtures, fittings, and equipment to ensure guest and staff safety

Managing maintenance schedules and preventive maintenance programs

Conducting regular inspections of the property and equipment

Coordinating with external contractors for larger repairs or renovation projects

Supporting sustainability initiatives and energy conservation programs

Managing the maintenance team, including scheduling, performance, training, and motivation

Assisting with the preparation of maintenance budgets and cost control measures

Responding quickly and effectively to emergency maintenance issues

Promoting a culture of continuous improvement and attention to detail

What are we looking for?

A Maintenance Manager at Conrad Tulum is someone who works collaboratively with all departments to ensure the hotel's facilities are always operating at peak performance. To succeed in this role, you should demonstrate the following skills, qualities, and experience:

Advanced knowledge of maintenance systems, equipment, and building operations

Degree or technical certification in Engineering, Maintenance, or a related field

Experience in budgeting, cost control, and basic accounting practices

Strong leadership skills and proven experience managing and developing a team

A proactive and solution-oriented mindset

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Commitment to delivering high-quality service and maintaining brand standards

High attention to detail and organizational skills

Professional appearance and grooming

Flexibility to adapt to a variety of operational situations

Ability to work independently and perform under pressure

Previous experience in facility or property maintenance management

Proficiency in using maintenance-related software and systems (CMMS, etc.)

It would be an advantage if you also have:

First Aid certification

Additional technical training or specialization in areas such as HVAC, plumbing, or electrical systems

Experience with sustainability and energy-saving programs
