Lead, coach, and develop a team of maintenance supervisors, technicians, across multiple shifts.
Drive TPM initiatives across the plant, including implementation of the 8 TPM pillars and integration with lean manufacturing strategies.
Oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs to minimize downtime and maximize equipment availability.
Develop and manage the maintenance department’s KPIs (e.g., MTBF, MTTR, OEE, downtime tracking).
Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to address chronic equipment issues and optimize throughput.
Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements (OSHA, ISO 14001, IATF 16949).
Manage and optimize the plant’s CMMS (e.g., SAP PM, Fiix, MP2) for effective work order tracking, scheduling, and asset history.
Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and continuous improvement projects to reduce costs, enhance performance, and eliminate waste.
Participate in capital projects including new equipment installations, upgrades, and facility expansions.
Maintain department budgets, vendor relationships, and inventory of spare parts.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or related field; or equivalent technical experience.
Minimum 7-10 years of progressive maintenance leadership experience in an automotive or high-volume manufacturing environment.
Strong working knowledge of TPM, lean manufacturing, and reliability-centered maintenance.
Proven experience with CMMS systems and data-driven maintenance planning.
Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic schematics.
Preferred:
TPM certification or formal training in lean/TPM methodologies.
Knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and automotive quality standards.
Experience working in a unionized environment.
Familiarity with robotics, PLCs (Siemens, Allen-Bradley), stamping presses, injection molding, or automated conveyors.
