Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.
Scope of Position:
Manage maintenance technicians’ daily work schedule and schedule work orders in Maximo for the group. Manage Maximo CMMS to include building PM job plans, asset creation, assign labor accounts, and manage critical spare parts inventory module. Manage TPM SharePoint to include creation of equipment specific LOTO procedures, equipment and facility asset documentation, and manage 1 line documentation for electrical infrastructure. Manage DNC and SmartBox equipment, to include factory updates. Work with contractors for HVAC and plumbing needs.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
Ability to read and understand electrical, schematics, wiring diagrams, machine repair manuals, and related written instructions Plan and manage movement of equipment for building expansion Maximo work scheduling Manage spare parts inventory module in Maximo and work with Vallen to ensure 100% accuracy Manage data collection from Databricks, create queries based on equipment performance and reliability Utilize PowerBI for maintenance performance updates Manage building controller and HVAC systems Manage DNC and SmartBox systems Safety Training for contractors Maintenance support as neededThe above description covers the most significant duties performed but does not exclude other occasional work assignments not mentioned.

Required Education:
High School/General Education Diploma
Required Years and Area of Experience:
3+ years CNC maintenance experience, 2 years in a leadership role
Required Skills:
Word, Excel, PowerBI, PowerPoint, Databricks, Maximo or relevant CMMS
Desired Skills:
Experience performing maintenance on CNC equipment, BMS, machine monitoring systems, and DNC
Soft Skills:
Outstanding work ethic Team player Results oriented, active problem solver Self-starter; works with minimal supervision Excellent verbal and written communications skills

The range for this position is $24.75 hourly rate - $29.38 hourly rate. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
