Job Description

We are seeking two dedicated Maintenance Helpers to support our maintenance technicians. The role involves assisting technicians by holding equipment during repairs, carrying tools and materials to repair sites, and performing light maintenance tasks once the main job is completed. Responsibilities also include preparing equipment for repair, such as removing screws or bolts, grinding off parts, bolting components back together, and cleaning and greasing equipment. Candidates should be mechanically inclined and comfortable using hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

Assist maintenance technicians by holding equipment during repairs.Transport tools and materials to repair sites.Perform light maintenance tasks after main job completion.Prepare equipment for repair by removing screws/bolts and grinding off parts.Reassemble equipment by bolting components together.Clean and grease equipment.Provide general maintenance assistance and cleanup.

Essential Skills

2+ years of experience as a helper.Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.Mechanically inclined.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in grinding, prepping, and cleaning equipment.

Work Environment

The work schedule includes day shifts from 6am-4pm and night shifts from 10pm-6am, with potential for 2nd shift work from 2pm-10pm. The position operates Monday through Friday, with additional work on Saturdays as needed.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Houston, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $17.00/hr.
