Job Title: Maintenance Helper
We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Helper to support our production team by ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our equipment. The successful candidate will assist in both emergency repairs and routine maintenance, contributing to the smooth operation of our facility.
Responsibilities
Provide support for emergency or unplanned repairs of production equipment and auxiliary systems.Troubleshoot basic to complex mechanical and electrical issues, identifying root causes and recommending solutions to improve reliability.Perform Preventative Maintenance on production and support equipment, making recommendations for improvement.Read and interpret equipment manuals and schematic prints (electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical) to perform required maintenance and service.Assist or support contractors on major installation or retrofit projects.Perform basic repairs and maintenance on Pneumatic, Hydraulic, and Electrical Equipment.Check equipment for leaks, belt wear, bearing issues, and functionality of heaters and thermal couplers.Maintain equipment cleanliness by removing dust, oil, grease, and dirt, and replace conveyance filters.Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe work environment.Assist the maintenance manager in the upkeep of plastic extrusion machines, cleaning/replacing filters, feeding resin beads, clearing excess resin build-up, and managing resin film recycling.Maintain cleanliness around machines.Essential Skills
Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.Experience with logic controllers and other automation systems.Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.Strong customer service orientation with good communication skills.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Experience in facilities maintenance or a related field is preferred.Additional Skills & Qualifications

Work Environment
The work environment is a clean warehouse equipped with three plastic extrusion machines operating 24/7. The facility has a headcount of about 15, with 8 staff members in the office. The maintenance team ensures a tidy and organized workspace, adhering to high standards of safety and efficiency.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $28.00/hr.
